Ring Diameter & Circumference Converter#

A ring’s inner diameter and inner circumference describe the same circular opening from two different measurement perspectives. This converter helps you move between these measurements using millimetres, making it easier to compare dimensional specifications, check measurements, and work with ring geometry in jewellery design or assessment. Select the conversion direction, enter the known measurement, and obtain the corresponding value calculated from the geometry of a circle.
The calculated values describe the ring’s inner geometry and can support measurement checks during jewellery design, resizing, and assessment.
Model and limits#
For a circular ring opening, the inner circumference is calculated from the inner diameter using (C = \pi d), while the inner diameter is obtained from the circumference using (d = C/\pi). Both measurements are expressed in millimetres (mm).
The result represents a geometric conversion, not a standardized ring size. This tool does not account for national ring-sizing systems, differences between sizing standards, ring profile, or individual fitting preferences. Measurement accuracy depends on the accuracy of the input and the assumption that the inner opening is circular.
