The desert ant Cataglyphis has completed its search. Behind it remains a complex web of turns, uncertainty, and exploration, woven into the desert as the geometry of experience. Ahead there are no more zigzags. A single perfectly straight line connects the ant with home.

True autonomy does not mean never making detours. It means understanding every movement so completely that, after any complexity, the system can calculate the return without error. Cataglyphis needs no landmarks, no stored trails, and no external confirmation. Every necessary coordinate already exists within its own computation. Once the final vector is added to the total, searching ends and only the pure geometry of return remains. The shortest line appears not because the world has become simpler, but because the system has become whole.

Inner stillness arrives when nothing more needs to be verified. The center has already been found, and movement no longer wastes energy on doubt. Discipline completes its cycle not by conquering the world, but by returning precisely to itself.
