When They Can Come Back

🪶🪹🌤️ When They Can Come Back#

One of the quietest signs of peace is when life returns by itself.

We often speak about peace as something that belongs to people.

But peace belongs to every living thing.

A bird does not need to understand war to be driven away by it.

Noise, fire, destruction, the loss of nesting places, poisoned or disturbed habitats — all of these can make a place impossible to live in.

And animals have no shelters to run to because someone told them where to go. They simply leave.

A stork does not ask whether it is safe to return.

It returns when there is a place to build a nest, food to find, quiet enough to raise its young, and enough life around it to make staying possible.

Peace is not only when animals stop being harmed.
Peace is when their world becomes safe enough for life to return.

Perhaps one day a bird will come back to the place where it once nested.

Not because someone called it.
Because nothing is forcing it to stay away.

And perhaps that is one of the quietest signs that peace has truly arrived: life comes back by itself.
